Barn Theatre Presents CINDERELLA 8/9-21

Barn Theatre presents their production of the family friendly delightful musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, playing August 9 - 21.

This fresh and exciting adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's 1957 made-for-television musical (which starred Julie Andrews) brings adventure, romance, and a miraculous kingdom to the stage. One splendid night the famously wistful maiden Cinderella (played by 1st-Year Apprentice Annie Wessendarp) meets her Fairy Godmother (played by 1st Year Apprentice Amy Harpenau), who helps grant her wish to go to the ball! A pumpkin turns into a golden coach, mIce Turn into horses, a dove becomes a footman, and she falls in love with a handsome prince (played by Jamey Grisham). Even if you know the ending, this quintessential classic will.

Tickets for Princess For A Day on Sunday, August 14, sponsored by The Barn Theatre School for Advanced Theatre Training, are now SOLD OUT. The Barn Theatre School created the event as part of their community outreach program designed to inspire youth appreciation and involvement in the arts. The afternoon will feature educational information about theatre, and will include crafts and activities that blend fun and learning! Due to the exceptional demand for Princess For A Day, we've added several extra special royal elements of to all of the performances, such as kid-friendly specialty food items in the Rehearsal Shed Lounge, a variety of enchanting souvenirs and CINDERELLA show t-shirts, and we have arranged for Cinderella (and most likely a few other characters) to meet fans and sign autographs after every show. We've put a lot of care into making every night magical for all of the children that will be attending this family favorite!

Michael Wilson Morgan is the Costume Designer. Scenic Design is by Dusty Reeds. Musical Direction is by John Jay Espino and Choreography is by Jamey Grisham. Garrylee McCormick is the Hair/Wig Designer. Properties are designed by Amy Harpenau and Lights are designed by Jenny Nicholas. Sam Silva is the Sound Designer. Technical Direction is by Fred Gillette.

CINDERELLA plays AUGUST 9 - 21. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 5:00 PM. Enjoy refreshments in The Rehearsal Shed Lounge with friends before, during intermission and after the show. Enjoy a light snack while being entertained by the free cabaret-style show in the Rehearsal Shed Lounge after the main stage performance.
