Autism Alliance Throws a Royal Party
The Autism Alliance of Michigan held a beautiful Princess Party today at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial's Crystal Ballroom in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. The event was free to all participants, providing an afternoon of festivities - including pampering, socialization, entertainment, dining, and dancing.
Princess Party 2014 fosters friendships between the participants with and without disabilities, boosts their self-esteem, and creates awareness in the community of the needs and abilities of children with disabilities. The organization recognizes each girl's beauty (inside and out), bravery, and brilliance.
This year, respected actor Leo Babcock performed as king at the wonderful event. "There were about 400 people there including 175 young princesses. Many of them were girls with disabilities. It turned out to be a really successful event," said Babcock.
