Aretha Franklin To Perform The Last Song At Her Tribute Music Hall
The Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin has just informed her bandleader and director of the Detroit SuperBand, Kern Brantley, that she will perform a special last song of the evening with the band and special guest performers on the Friday, June 9th Tribute To Aretha Franklin at the inaugural Detroit Music Weekend. The homegrown Superband which is made up of a "who's who" of Detroit R & B and Jazz musicians with a bevy of guest vocalists ranging from the legendary Mitch Ryder, to the contemporary greatness of Thornetta Davis as well as some super surprise guests!

The last minute decision in joining the Detroit Music SuperBand which has formed specially for this event and will also back Aretha as she headlines the free Saturday, June 10th Concert on the soon to be renamed, "Aretha Franklin Avenue" (Madison between Witheral and Brush Street) with the in person commemoration this Thursday, June 8th at 5 PM.
- NOTE The VIP after concert show on Saturday with Tuxedo featuring Mayer Hawthorne and DJ Nice is offering a reduced $30 ticket that allows for the Tuxedo show on the street level, and access to 3Fifty Terrace for more partying and a cash bar. The VIP $80 ticket comes with open bar and cabana.
