Actors' Theatre Grand Rapids Opens Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT at Perfect Moment

Green Day's emotional rock musical American Idiot may have been created in 2009, but America is ripe with the need for such a piece right now in 2016. How so? Green Day is on tour with their new album Revolution Radio and American Idiotthe musical has just received the green light from HBO to become a feature film. On top of it? America is yet again in a time of social and political unrest and chaos - we are crying out for new systems, change, and an answer on how to move forward. These are the same emotions that made American Idiot - both the studio album and the Broadway musical - the iconic pieces they are.

The musical, takes the well-known music of Green Day and adds in the unique power and beauty of an ensemble of voices and bodies. American Idiot will rock your senses and pull on your heart.
