Van Wezel Presents REO Speedwagon, Tix On Sale 12/3

REO SPEEDWAGON has just been added at the VAN WEZEL PERFORMING ARTS HALL for Thursday, March 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 3.

The 70s-80s favorite rock band is touring again! REO SPEEDWAGON will greet Sarasota with some of its best loved tunes that even the younger fans will recognize. The impact of their 1980, 9 times certified Hi Infidelity album has had multi-generational success and raised the bar with huge hit singles like "Keep On Loving You," and "Take It On the Run." REO followed up with Wheels Are Turning which brought us "Can't Fight This Feeling." The classic rockers continue to work on new material. To that end REO and STYX have teamed up on a new single, "Can't Stop Rockin'," co-written by Cronin and STYX's Tommy Shaw.

REO SPEEDWAGON has gone through several changes in membership since it was formed by University students in 1967, but front man Kevin Cronan has remained a constant since '72. "The world is going through a weird phase, and everybody needs music now more than ever. We all need to join our friends, pool our resources, combine our energies, because there is power in people coming together," he says. That insight combined with some first -class rock is going to make for a great show.
