Television legend Regis Philbin announces retirement from "Live!" Catch him next week, at the VAN WEZEL PERFORMING ARTS HALL on Wednesday, January 26 at 8 p.m.

Regis Philbin announced yesterday that he will be retiring from the very successful, long-running talk show "Live! with Regis and Kelly." "This will be my last year on this show. It's been a long time, it's been 28 years since I've been here...There is a time everything must come to an end..." PHILBIN said. The announcement has surprised everyone, including David Letterman who called REGIS last night, on-air, during the Late Show. In the coming months, "LIVE" will welcome top guests and feature special segments, all part of the countdown to the spectacular farewell celebration for the incomparable Regis Philbin. While television is preparing to say "good-bye" to REGIS, the Van Wezel is excited to welcome him and his lovely wife Joy Philbin to Sarasota for a night of song, talk and good fun!
