Cooperative Marketing Workshop: The Culture of Cool

This workshop, aimed at Integrating Youth in Arts and Culture Organizations, will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006, at ArtServe Inc., 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale

Broward County Commission's Cultural Division will host The Culture of Cool, Cooperative Marketing Program workshop on Thursday, November 16, 2006, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at ArtServe Inc., 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale. The workshop will be facilitated by independent arts consultant, Anna Batcke, formerly of the Chicago Historical Society.

The event is designed for Broward-based not-for-profit cultural organizations; other members of the business sector are also encouraged to participate.

Teenagers are among the most difficult audience segments to reach. For their innovative Teen Chicago project, the Chicago Historical Society needed to attract a diverse teen audience to programs, an exhibition and a website. Anna Batcke will share how to replicate successful youth programming and marketing from her experiences with this project and others.

During lunch, join in the Roundtable Discussions led by leaders in the marketing and public relations field, including: Viral, Guerilla and Grassroots Marketing for Cultural Organizations; Managing Volunteers in a Nonprofit Organization and Let's Critique Marketing Collaterals ( bring samples with you. )

The cost of the workshop is $40; $45 at the door, and will include handouts, refreshments and lunch. Kindly RSVP on the Broward Cultural Division website at www.broward.org/arts and click on 'workshops.'
