Thinking Cap is a Fort Lauderdale-based, professional theatre company that performs out of Empire Stage. Our company brings a slice of the downtown NYC theatre scene to downtown Fort Lauderdale. We dedicate ourselves to programming experimental, provocative, and socially-conscious work. We also aim to engage with works that treat a range of identities more accurately reflective of today's society; to dismantle norms and stereotypes through non-reactionary, honest means; and to present historical works that have rarely or never seen the light of the stage.
