At the age of 24, mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke is quickly taking the music world by storm. This fast-rising star has earned universal praise for her operatic performances and recitals worldwide.

Cooke won First Prize in the 2007 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, the 2007 Sun Valley Opera Vocal Competition and the 2006 Bach Vocal Competition. She has performed at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, as well as with the Wolf Trap Opera Company. In 2008, Cooke sang the role of Kitty Oppenheimer at the Metropolitan Opera in the New York premier of John Adams' "Doctor Atomic."

Cooke's programs often span a wide variety of material, from classical to contemporary, and she has performed in an array of orchestral and chamber settings.
