Gruesome Playground Injuries is a darkly humorous drama. Two eight-year-olds' lives collide in the nurse's office: Doug rode his bike off the roof and Kayleen can't stop throwing up.
They are outsiders amongst their peers; desperately lonely children who grow into frightened and conflicted adults -- their broken hearts and broKen Bones draw them ever closer. These two rebels may only be fit for one another. But how far can one person go to heal another's wounds?
Directed by Anna Brennen and featuring Betty-Jane Parks and Erik Lurz, Stageworks presents this hot, new play from October 14-30 at the new Stageworks Theatre at Grand Central in Channel District, 1120 East Kennedy Blvd.Tampa, FL 33602.
