Gramercy Theatre and the historic Plaza Theatre opened their summer production of Disney's Aladdin Jr. on Friday August 8. Performances run through August 17 at the Main Stage Theatre of The Plaza, 425 North Bumby Ave, Downtown Orlando.
The cast is comprised of 21 performers from the Central Florida area. The company includes talented youth performers integrated with seasoned professionals."This is the perfect summer outing for families," says Dan Roche, Gramercy Theatre Artistic Director and Director/Producer of the production. "Gramercy has worked hard to create a high quality production yet keep ticket prices attractive to family budgets."
The fun, fast-moving musical adaptation of the Disney film, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, contains all of the favorite songs from the movie, including "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me".
