Palm Beach Opera Thanks Major Supporters at Annual Luncheon

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, Palm Beach Opera celebrated its major supporters at the company's inaugural Co-Producer Society & Season Sponsors Appreciation Luncheon, located at The Brazilian Court Hotel's Café Boulud in Palm Beach. This luncheon served as an opportunity for Palm Beach Opera to honor its dedicated members of the Co-Producer Society, as well as generous education, outreach, and artist training program supporters, after a tremendously successful 2017 season of opera.

Patrons were invited to attend the annual Palm Beach Opera Board of Directors meeting prior to the luncheon. Café Boulud served guests a delicious meal that began with a mesclun salad with shaved vegetable crudités, and a mustard vinaigrette. The entrée featurEd Scottish salmon with fingerling potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The meal concluded with a delectable key lime tart.

There were 25 people in attendance for the Appreciation Luncheon including Ronnie Isenberg, whom was presented with the Palm Beach Opera Lifetime Grand Patron Award, which was announced at the 2017 Season Opening Celebration in December. Gladys Benenson and Mary Montgomery were again celebrated as Lifetime Grand Patrons. Other attendees included Palm Beach Opera's General Director Daniel Biaggi, Sanford Baklor, Hans and Sigrid Baumann, Bill Brown, Delphine Daft, John Domenico, Robert and Ann Fromer, David Genser, Allan and Mickey Greenblatt, Chuck Hardwick, Marsha Laufer, John Pohanka, John and Karin Strasswimmer, Ed Streim, Sieglinde Wikstrom, and Palm Beach Opera's Managing Director David Walker.

Palm Beach Opera recently announced its 2018 Season and the repertoire of opera favorites includes: Giacomo Puccini's Tosca, Leonard Bernstein's Candide and rounding out the season will be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro.

Palm Beach Opera is dedicated to producing live opera at an international standard of excellence and to enriching the life of the communities it serves with a diverse offering of educational programs. Founded in 1961, the fully professional Palm Beach Opera presents mainstage performances at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach and is a proud member of OPERA America the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
