Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 2018 Gala Kickoff Party Image

Nancy and Gene Beard, Chairs of Palm Beach Dramaworks' eagerly awaited 18th Anniversary Gala, set the festivities in motion on January 10 when they hosted a cocktail reception for the Gala Committee at the First Republic Bank in Palm Beach. Things will really roll onSaturday, March 24 at 6:30pm, when guests head to the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion to experience "Murder on the Orient Express."

The Cohen Pavilion will be decorated to capture the ambiance of the legendary, luxurious train celebrated in fiction and film. And staying true to the theme of the evening, it should come as no surprise that the celebration will feature its share of intrigue and suspense. Word is out that murder is afoot, so Hercule Poirot will be on the case, questioning witnesses, sniffing out suspects, and finding the killer.

Also riding the rails will be Jill and Rich Switzer, co-hosts ofThe Morning Lounge on Legends 100.3 FM and "jazz royalty in Palm Beach County," who will entertain with music from the 1930s and '40s. Suggested attire is clothing that would be suitable for travel back in the day. The evening includes dinner and dancing.

Proceeds from the benefit will support PBD. Individual tickets are $600 and tables of ten begin at $6,000.

All tickets are tax deductible as provided by law.

Sponsorships for tables, entertainment, decorations, and dinner are still available.

The evening's honorary chairs are Karin and John Strasswimmer.

The Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center is conveniently located at 701 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach.
