Fifth Annual May BAM Bash

This entertainment extravaganza, one of the most popular BAM events
of the year, will feature the rock and blues band RipTide in the
Museum Sculpture Garden, where everyone will mix, mingle and dance
under the stars. Attendees are encouraged to "dress to impress" for
the Oscar-style red carpet treatment they will receive upon arrival
complete with live video interviews and colorful commentary on their
attire. 7-10 p.m. The cost for the May BAM Bash is $20 for BAM

created by the area's top designers in partnerships with local
nonprofits. Displayed throughout the main plaza, these floral
masterpieces attract visitors from throughout the state. The public
is invited to vote for their favorite displays by making a cash
donation into the boxes of their choice. Donations collected will
benefit participating nonprofits. Awards will be given for the "Best
in Show," "Best Use of Foliage" and "Best Interpretation of Theme."

Chicago. The New York Times says her "booming contralto is one of
