'Oranges' Juices Miami's Playground Theatre

By: Dec. 22, 2005

THE PLAYGROUND THEATRE PRESENTS

"THE LOVE OF THREE ORANGES" AT MIAMI CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

Miami Children's Museum in conjunction with THE PLAYGROUND THEATRE
FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES, a non-profit repertory company will present select
scenes from "The Love Of Three Oranges" by Count Carlo Gozzi. This 18th
century fairy-tale story, translated from Italian to English, revolves
around a melancholic prince who thinks his problems are solved when he
finally finds his purpose in life: to capture an evil witch's magical
oranges. Little does he suspect that his hunt for enchanted citrus fruit
will lead him to his ideal princess. This show will be performed on
Friday, December 30 at 2:30 P.M. at Miami Children's Museum, 980 MacArthur
Causeway, Miami, FL 33132. "The Love Of Three Oranges" is most enjoyed
by children ages 8 and up.

Founded by producing artistic directors Stephanie Ansin and her
husband Oleg Kheyfets, The PlayGround Theatre for Young Audiences was
established to bring important and intelligent theatrical events to the
growing numbers of young people in the South Florida community. The
production is directed by Ansin, set and costume design by Emil Kapelush, and
lighting design by S. Ryan Schmidt. Illustrating its unusual outreach
program, THE PLAYGROUND has already hosted more than 2,000 young people
including such diverse groups as Amigos for Kids, Haitian Women in
Miami, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Best Buddies and Miami-Dade County School
Children.
