NO, NO, NANETTE Is Now Running At The Stage Door Theatre Thru 9/27

By: Aug. 24, 2009

"NO, NO, NANETTE" is up and running at Stage Door Theatre in Coral Springs, FL

Over thirty tap shoes are hoofing their way across the boards of the Broward Stage Door Theatre in NO, NO, NANETTE, currently running at the theatre company's Coral Springs Theatre #1 through September 27th.

The classic 1925 musical comedy has music by Vincent Youmans, with lyrics by Irving Caesar & Otto Harbach, and includes hit songs of the era such as "I Want to Be Happy" and "Tea for Two.

This production also employs the original book for the show, by Otto Harbach & Frank Mandel, as adapted by Burt Shevelove for the famous 1971 smash hit Broadway revival.

All those tapping feet at the Stage Door are choreographed by Chrissi Ardito, with Artistic Director Dan Kelley directing a cast that features Jonathan Bauchman, Kimberly Zavier Martins, Kristen Marie, Jonathan Van Dyke, Elissa Solomon, John Ramsey and Erin Dowling as Nanette.

Eighty-four years ago the top ticket price for Broadway's 1925 production of NO, NO, NANETTE was $3.25. Thirty-eight years ago the 1971 New York revival had a $15.00 top. Inflation, and all things considered, the 2009 ticket price for this Stage Door production is a steal at $32.00.

NANETTE begins the Stage Door Theatre's 16th season as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, professional theatre company, operating two theatres at 8036 W. Sample Rd., Coral Springs, FL 33065. Performances for this production are Wed. 2:00 PM, Thurs. 2:00 PM & 8:00 PM, Fri. 8:00 PM, Sat. 2:00 PM & 8:00 PM, Sun. 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM.
