"My Fair Lady" is the standard by which all other musicals are measured.

The masterpiece that is "My Fair Lady" was Broadway's long-run musical champ until it was surpassed by "Hello, Dolly!"  The Tony winning Best musical, led Julie Andrews to superstardom and the subsequent film version of "My Fair Lady" won the Oscar for Best Picture (among several others including Best Actor for Rex Harrison and Best Director for George Cukor.)

Based on Shaw's play "Pygmalion," with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe, "My Fair Lady" is legendarily perfect musical theater.  It is the Cinderella story of the speech professor, Henry Higgins, transforming the cockney flower girl into a beautifully mannered swan, who can talk and walk like a "regular lady."  The score includes Wouldn't it Be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, Get Me to the Church on Time, and I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face. It's no wonder everyone – not just Henry Higgins – falls in love with Eliza Doolittle, or does he?
