MusicWorks to Welcome Roger Mcguinn to Old School Square, 3/11

By: Feb. 24, 2016

Next month MusicWorks will conclude its popular, four-concert series featuring iconic folk musicians at Old School Square / Crest Theatre, located at 51 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach (one block north of Atlantic Avenue).

March 11 at 8 pm

Roger McGuinn

Roger McGuinn (Mr. Tambourine Man, Turn Turn, Turn) not only lived history, he made history with his fearless sense of experimentation. As the leader of the influential 60s group, The Byrds, he was on the leading edge, combining the rock beat of the Beatles with the folk sensibilities of Bob Dylan, to create the genre known as "folk-rock." Roger's solo career began in 1973 and has yielded 10 albums, a Grammy nomination, and extensive touring and performing for enthralled audiences ever since. In addition to touring, Roger has been busier than ever spearheading his acclaimed Folk Den Project, playing select dates with country superstar Marty Stuart and The Fabulous Superlatives and recently opened The Montreal Folk Festival.

Tickets: $75 & $53, plus a $2 historic renovation fee

Tickets can be purchased online at OldSchool.org or by calling the Box Office at 561.243.7922, ext. 1.
