^{Michael Winslow, "the man of 10,000 sound effects," stand up comedian, and actor, whose appearances in film include: Police Academy 1-7, Spaceballs and Gremlins, as well as a current run of Geico commercials, appears live at The Atlantic Theater in Jupiter on Saturday August 16th at 8:00 and 10:30pm.}

^{Michael Winslow has made a career out of making noises. The 48 year-old actor, writer and producer, best known as Cadet Larvell Jones in Police Academy, hopes the history books will remember him as the "Man of 10,000 Sound Effects." His ability to create realistic sound effects with his voice is uncanny, such that he repeatedly stole his scenes in Police Academy, a slapstick, mid-'80s comedy that revolved around the common "slobs versus snobs" theme.}

^{Thanks to his role as Cadet Jones, Winslow has become a pop-culture icon, albeit not by name alone. He has earned references on The Simpsons, The Family Guy, King of the Hill and MADtv as the "guy who makes sound effects." He is the only cast member to appear in every incarnation of the Police Academy franchise, including the short-lived TV series. In fact, he has worked consistently for 30 years, appearing in works such as Spaceballs and doing voicework on Gremlins.}
