MIAMI PERFORMING ARTS CENTER PRESENTS WALKING TALL CIRCUS
Saturday, April 29, 2006

Free show starring dozens of youthful jugglers, trapeze artists,
clowns, puppeteers and stilt walkers from all over Miami

On April 29, Miami Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will present
children from seven community centers throughout Miami in
the "Walking Tall Circus" – the culminating event of the "Walking
Tall" program – a community outreach initiative created by MPAC and
funded in part by the John. S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Walking Tall offers free after-school training sessions designed to
develop physical theater skills, encourage creativity, and boost
self-confidence in children.

An afternoon of free circus-style fun starring more than 120
local children in colorful costumes showing off trapeze, juggling,
acrobatic, stilt walking, puppetry and clowning skills they learned
at "Walking Tall" classes taught by MPAC in their local community
centers.
