McNally's 'Some Men' Steps into Rising Action Theatre 9/28

Rising Action Theatre, Inc announces the opening of its very own 100 seat theatrical venue at 840 E. Oakland Park Blvd, Oakland Park on Sept 28, 2007 with the Florida Premiere of Terrence McNally's Some Men, directed by Tony Nominated Broadway Director Michael Leeds.

This is a brand new theatre opening in Oakland Park. Mayor Larry Geher will cut the ribbon on Friday Sept 28, 2007 at 7:45 pm. This is Oakland Park's first non profit theatre company with its own venue. Champagne will be served before or after the performance.

The performance schedule for all shows is Thurs, Fri, Sat at 8 pm and Sun at 3 pm. Tickets can be purchased on their website at www.risingactiontheatre.com or by calling the 1-800-595-4849. Tickets are also available at Gaymart (2240 Wilton Drive Wilton Manors) or Pride Factory (850 N.E. 13th St. Fort Lauderdale). Also available is a 3 course dinner at Primavera Restaurant and our show for $50. Some Men by Terrence McNally, a new play with music by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally (Love, Valor, Compassion, The Ritz, Master Class) highlights the moments when guests, gathered together at a gay wedding ceremony, found true love in their own lives and celebrates the century of change that has brought them to this point.

Some Men will be directed by Broadway Director Michael Leeds (Swinging on a Star) and feature Doug Williford (Company with Polly Bergen), Peter S. Kowsky (The Detective with Frank Sinatra) Eston Dunn (The Last Hairdresser), Don Stansfield (Pink), Sam Razbeck (Street Theatre) and Nigel Revenge (Corpus Christie) Johnnie Bowls and Alex Danyluk.
