SPEND A MAGICAL DAY WITH THE HUSKY GANG
AT THE MIAMI CHILDREN'S MUSEUM ON SUNDAY, JUNE 5! Miami Children's Museum, in collaboration with The Husky Gang School (Sdoia-Satz Music Institute of Miami) is hosting "A Magical Day with the Husky Gang" on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Miami Children's Museum located at 980 MacArthur Causeway. There will be two one and one half hour performances, suitable for children of all ages, one at 1:30 PM and second showing at 4 PM.The program, consisting of many components will include: A musical production designed especially for children, called "The Husky Gang Show", conceived, written and composed by Phyllis Sdoia-Satz and illustrated by Christopher Mangiaracina. An interactive story-telling event recounting the Adventures of the Husky GanG An interactive music lesson where The Husky Gang characters will teach the young children in the audience the basics of music through singing songs. With the help of the Husky Gang, children will learn to identify left and right, the musical alphabet, musical notation, names of the notes and their placement on the keyboard, as well as something about the rhythm and mathematics of music.
A premier performance of "The Life and Times of Sasha, the Sad Ferret", text, words and music written and composed by Phyllis Sdoia-Satz A museum stroll conducted by The Husky Gang characters A special event in which the audience will be introduced to the "real animals" that inspired the stories, songs and teaching methods of The Husky Gang characters, and the real animals will be available for paw-to-graphs and photos. Guests are invited to attend the show in costume, and at the end of the program, each child will receive a free certificate of honorary membership in the Husky Gang and a Husky Gang coloring sheet. The Husky Gang books and media published by Warner Brothers Inc., and seen on television nation wide, will be available for sale in the gift shop before and after the performances. Admission to "A Magical Day with the Husky Gang" is free with paid museum admission. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
