Local Actor Stephen Jerome Dies Day Before Opening Night

Fort Lauderdale actor and lawyer, Stephen Jerome, died Thursday, the day before he was to play the role of Max Bialystock in the Pembroke Pines community theater production of The Producers. Keith Kramer, Pembroke Pine's president, will take over the role for all performances.

Jerome's law office informed the theater of Jerome's death Friday and, according to the Sun Sentinel, did not know the cause of death. Jerome, 61, had performed in local musical Theater Productions of My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, and more.
