Liza Minnelli TO HEADLINE GALA OPENING NIGHT

SINGLE TICKETS FOR ALL SHOWS ON SALE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 

FORT LAUDERDALE---Liza Minnelli, the dynamic singing, dancing powerhouse who through several decades of films, stage, TV and recording careers, remains one of the hottest performers in the entertainment industry, will appear as the gala opening night attraction, Saturday, October 8, at 8 P.M. launching the inaugural season of the new Sinatra Theatre, located at the BankAtlantic Center (formally the Office Depot Center) located at 2555 Panther Parkway,  in Sunrise, Florida.

Heading an array of legendary superstars who have packed houses throughout the United State and Europe, MINNELLI will be the first in a parade of 14 beloved acts and artists who will take the stage of the newly re-configured Sinatra Theatre within the BankAtlantic Center, which at a cost of over one million dollars, is now an intimate theater where audiences will have easy access, perfect sight lines, and brilliant sound.

For MINNELLI, it will be a time to revisit long-time friends and fans who have watched her grow from a little girl who sang with her famous mom, Judy Garland, on stage at the Palace, to a celebrated career of her own which was to ultimately bring her two Oscars for the films "The Sterile Cuckoo," and "Cabaret," two Golden Globe Awards for "Cabaret" and "A Time to Live,"; two Tony Awards for "Flora, The Red Menace" and "The Act," an Emmy Award for "Liza with a Z," and from the recording industry, the coveted Grammy Legend Award. Most recently, MINNELLI has been winning new fans on TV'S "Arrested Development," and has been touring to solidly packed houses.

Located as it is midway between Miami and Palm Beach, the Sinatra Theatre is in the ideal location to gather fans from throughout South Florida who will be standing and cheering such celebrated pop icons as "Good Vibrations" BEACH BOYS and country superstar KENNY ROGERS & FRIENDS.

THE BEACH BOYS follow MINNELLI, arriving Sunday, October 23, at 7:30 P.M. to sing their classic chart-topping songs and continue their ongoing 40^{th Anniversary celebration. 8 P.M. to bring in the holiday season with his acclaimed Christmas Show.
