CALIFORNIA GUITAR TRIO

In the Studio Theatre

Friday, February 9, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets on Sale Friday, October 13 at Noon

Tickets starting at $36 (inclusive of fees)

Produced by Brevard Music Group

Back by popular demand! See them for the first time or return for another magical evening featuring three phenomenal acoustic guitarists. The universe of guitar knows no boundaries for The California Guitar Trio. Since 1991, the group has enthralled listeners with a singular sound that fearlessly crisscrosses genres. The trio's questing spirit drives it to explore the intersections between rock, jazz, classical, and world music. It even throws in the occasional surf or spaghetti Western tune for good measure.

Comprised of Bert Lams, Hideyo Moriya and Paul Richards, the group has established a unique, personal connection with audiences. In addition to dazzling musicianship and interplay, The California Guitar Trio's (CGT) shows are full of captivating stories and humor that enable concertgoers to feel like they're part of the music, not just spectators. In fact, the group's goal is to transcend their instruments, so people focus on the music first, and its considerable technical prowess a distant second. The trio's output has made a major global impact, having served as the soundtrack for Olympics coverage, and programs on CNN, CBS, NBC, and ESPN. They have fans in high places too: Nasa used their music to wake the crew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Be sure to catch their performance in the intimate setting of the King Center Studio Theatre!

ROBIN TROWER

Sunday, March 11, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets on Sale Friday, October 13 at Noon

Tickets starting at $58 (inclusive of fees)

Produced by Elko Concerts

Legendary guitarist, Robin Trower is still playing his hits, "Bridge of Sighs" and "Daydream." Trower surfaced on rock'n'roll's radar in 1967, with Procol Harum, known for "Whiter Shade of Pale." He completed five albums and many tours with them before breaking away for a solo career in 1971 and he's still going strong. His atmospheric, effects-laden, Stratocastering brought inevitable initial comparisons with Hendrix, but he quickly made his own mark. "Something's About To Change," released in 2015, confirms a world-class musician at the top of his game. This tour will feature a trio; Robin's favorite line-up, with Richard Watts on Bass and vocals, and Chris Taggart on drums. Robin Trower live is an experience not to be missed. Whether you play guitar, or just enjoy a brilliant soulful player, come out and see the show. You will walk away smiling.

Alice Cooper

Tuesday, March 20, 8 p.m.

Tickets on Sale Friday, October 13 at Noons

Tickets starting at $58.50 (inclusive of fees)

Produced by Elko Concerts

Alice Cooper topped the album sales charts worldwide with his new album, "Paranormal," his first in six years. Cooper is known for pioneering a theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he's best known for. Alice Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie. His solo career skyrocketed in the late 1970's, with a succession of hit singles, including "You & Me," and classic albums, including "Lace And Whiskey" and "From The Inside," and bigger and even more elaborate concert tours.

In the '80's, Cooper explored different sounds, highlighted by the new wavish album "Flush The Fashion," the heavy metal "Constrictor," and "Raise Your Fist And Yell." Next came his melodic hard rock album "Trash," which featured the massive hit single, "Poison" and became his biggest selling album and single worldwide. With his influence on rock & roll there is little that Alice Cooper hasn't achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.
