Florida public relations guru Charlie Cinnamon was in a serious car accident, March 25th, while driving to his honoring at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Coconut Grove Playhouse. Kindly see my past columns for the full story regarding the Grove Playhouse's bash.

Cinnamon escaped with minor scrapes and was able to attend the awards banquet where Dick Van Dyke was also honored and Larry King helped to moderate.

Charles Cinnamon was in formal attire at a red light when his car was totaled by a motorist who ran a light.

This golden citizen with the mind and spirit of a teenager, was and is instrumental in bringing greats arts to South Florida. His monumental career is filled with legendary accomplishments. He founded the Coconut Grove Art Show and his handprints were some of the first adorning the walk of fame outside of Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason Theater.

Charles Cinnamon is well and working. He told this writer that while he is still a bit achy, he is "as gorgeous as ever." For decades, the world of the arts has known this man to be gorgeous inside and out. Florida needs great theater and other arts and Cinnamon is expected to play a key role in supplying that need for decades to come.
