By: May. 16, 2011

Four Cheers for Summer! The Van Wezel's FREE outdoor summertime music series FridayFest is back!

This summer, kick back on the Sarasota bay front and enjoy outstanding local bands mix it up. The Van Wezel is celebrating 10 years of FridayFest in style--dance to Big Night Out's Latin and jazz beats on June 17, jam to the oldies with YesterDaze on July 15, One Night Rodeo brings the best of Suncoast country on August 12, and Bird Street Players' high energy funk, soul and reggae will close out the series with a bang on September 16. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors.

FridayFest takes place in rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the Festival will move indoors to the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Outside food and drink is prohibited; coolers and weapons of any kind are also prohibited.
