By: Oct. 16, 2013

Broward Cultural Division will offer a grant application workshop for the Cultural Investment Program today, October 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Main Library, Bienes Conference Room, Sixth Floor, 100 S. Andrews Ave., in Fort Lauderdale.

The purpose of this program is to assist eligible Broward-based, not-for-profit cultural organizations, that have been operational in their cultural disciplines for a minimum of two years immediately preceding the date of application. Funding may be used for reimbursable program expenses associated with the presentation and/or production of a regular season of exhibitions, programs, events or performances open to the general public in Broward County. The workshop will also cover submission of online applications.

An organization must have a 501(c) (3) status with the IRS, and documented yearly Broward revenue of at least $40,000 to be eligible for funding. The Cultural Investment grant application deadline is February 1, 2014, for fiscal year 2015 funding. The application workshop is designed for ongoing and perspective applicants to the Cultural Investment Program to learn about eligibility requirements. Organizations such as Brazilian Voices, Inc. and the Sistrunk Historical Festival and The Girl Choir of South Florida have received funding through this program.

There is no fee for the workshop, and interested persons may Register Online. For additional information, or to schedule an appointment, contact Adriane Clarke, grants specialist, 954-357-7530.
