THE STORY: Mike and Lisa Davis arrive at the apartment of Tobi
Powell, who lives alone in Inwood, on the northern tip of Manhattan.
They are there to interview him about his life as a dancer and
choreographer, but it is soon evident that their agenda is as
multilayered as the life story that Tobi begins to tell them. What
happens next will either ruin or inspire them and definitely

MR. BELBER'S BIO: Stephen Belber's plays include TAPE (Naked Angels
NYC/LA/London; Access Theater; Humana Festival 2000; Magic Theatre,
CATF ), ONE MILLION BUTTERFLIES (Primary Stages), DRIFTING ELEGANT
(Magic Theatre), THE TRANSPARENCY OF VAL (LaTea, NYC), THE WAKE (Via
Theater, NYC), THROUGH FRED (Soho Rep, 78th St. Theater) and THE
DEATH OF FRANK (Araca Group, NYC). TAPE has been produced in
Australia, Germany, Canada, Greece and Japan. Stephen also wrote the
screenplay for the film of TAPE, directed by Richard Linklater
(Sundance; Berlin). He is a member of Tectonic Theater Project and
was one of the three associate writers (and an actor) for THE
LARAMIE PROJECT, performed around the world and made into an HBO
movie (Emmy nomination for screenwriting). He is a graduate of
Julliard's Playwrights Program, has received commissions from
Playwrights Horizons, the Huntington Theatre, Arena Stage and
Philadelphia Theatre Company and currently has several screenplays
in development. TV credits include a pilot and a movie for F.X.,
