As part of the process of developing plays,
Caldwell gives playwrights an opportunity to
hear their plays read by professional
actors in front of an audience.
The audience is invited to stay after the reading to discuss the play. These TalkBacks provide playwrights with fresh ideas, valuable comments, and honest audience response.
The Play Reading Series is very popular and often sells out.
