Auditions! Radio City Xmas Show Ft. Lauderdale Visit

RADIO CITY SEEKS YOUNG DANCERS TO PERFORM IN THE RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR STARRING THE ROCKETTES "SEARCH FOR CLARA" TO BE CONDUCTED AT 12:00 P.M. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 AT BROWARD CENTER FOR THE PERFOMING ARTS

Ft. Lauderdale --- The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is returning to Ft. Lauderdale between November 8 – December 2. Radio City is looking for young ballerinas to participate in the Radio City "Search for Clara."

The winning dancers will perform onstage in the "Nutcracker" segment of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! Dancers who participate in this event should be girls between the ages of 10 and 14 and under 5 ft tall and they must live locally. Girls must be proficient in ballet and have some experience en pointe. Two girls will be chosen and will be notified by phone.

Winning dancers will be paid a weekly salary and will need to be available during a limited number of school days during the run of the show, as there are weekday matinee performances scheduled. Professional academic tutoring will be provided.

The "Search for Clara" will take place in the Abdo New River Room of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 at 12:00 p.m. The dancers will be asked to perform a combination that will be taught by a professional choreographer at the event.

There is no need to prepare anything. Dancers wishing to participate in this event should arrive early and be warmed up and ready to dance in their leotards. They will need to bring their Pointe shoes with them. Dancers who meet the criteria for the "Search for Clara" need to call 914-747-2737 to reserve a space in the audition.
