Outré Theatre Company Presents A Staged Reading of

Dog Sees God by Burt V. Royal

Join Outré Theatre Company as they present the third in our pre-season reading series, Dog Sees God by Burt V. Royal, a darkly comic look at the Peanuts characters as teenagers. This performance is hosted by Joe Adler and friends at GableStage, for one performance only, March 19 at 7:00 pm.

Burt V. Royal's Dog Sees God, part parody, part homage, begins as CB’s dog just died, and he searches for the meaning underneath the veneer of teenage life. Joined by his younger sister, his pot-smoking Buddhist friend Van, his gay classmate Beethoven, and a variety of other recognizable characters, CB desperately attempts to understand the world around him amidst the crush of the post-adolescent experience.

Although the characters are drawn from our childhood, the dark humor of the play is most certainly aimed at adults. Dog Sees God was a breakout hit at the New York International Fringe Festival, and its examination of how the lightheartedness of childhood foibles become darker and more serious strikes a chord that is both humorous and thought-provoking.

Tickets are for a suggested donation of $8 and are available at the door. The GableStage at the Biltmore is located at1200 Anastasia Avenue,Coral Gables, FL 33134.
