MÚSICA DE GUADALUPE OLMEDO, NUBIA JAIME DONJUAN Y ODETTE TAPIA WALLER CON EL CUARTETO SALOMA EN EL MUNAL at Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura

On March 22, 2025, the Cuarteto Saloma will perform a selection of works by Mexican composers Guadalupe Olmedo, Nubia Jaime Donjuan, and Odette Tapia Waller at the Museo Nacional de Arte. The program features Olmedo's *Cuarteto estudio clásico, Op. 14*, recognized as one of the earliest pieces of its kind composed by a woman in Mexico. Additionally, the cuartet will present Jaime Donjuan's *Cuarteto núm. 1* and Tapia Waller's *Rapsodia de la Guelaguetza*, which celebrates the vibrant traditions of Oaxaca. The ensemble, named after its director Luis Samuel Saloma, aims to promote the rich but often overlooked repertoire of national composers.
