Homenaje a Julián Carrillo: ciencia y música en diálogo celebrates the 150th anniversary of the renowned Mexican composer and scientist Julián Carrillo. Taking place at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, this event features discussions led by prominent figures such as Ludwig Carrasco, Pedro Castillo, Armando Torres, and Víctor Barrera, who explore Carrillo's unique contributions to both music and science. The program includes a preliminary presentation of a new collaborative editorial project focused on Carrillo's Sinfonía núm. 1, which will also be performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional later that evening. This tribute initiates a year-long series of activities that aim to foster a renewed dialogue about Carrillo's lasting impact on Mexico's artistic and scientific landscape.
