Kiss Me, Kate is Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew set to Cole Porter's greatest score. Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi, two divorced and flamboyantly egocentric performers, find themselves starring opposite each other in this fun, melodious, and sophisticated musical that is a tribute to theatre in all its greasepaint and glory. The score features famous songs such as "Another Op'nin', Another Show," "Too Darn Hot," and "Always True to You in My Fashion." This classic musical adventure is sure to be something that everyone can enjoy.

Kiss Me, Kate is directed by Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Jordan Nichols (The Fantasticks; Gypsy) and features Playhouse on the Square Associate Company Member Katie Hahn (Assassins; The Fantasticks) as Lillian, and Ken Goodman making his Playhouse on the Square debut as Fred. Kiss Me, Kate also features Playhouse on the Square Associate Company Member Oliver Jacob Pierce (The Seagull, Bad Jews) as Bill and Leah Beth Bolton (The Rocky Horror Show; Gypsy) as Lois.

Kiss Me, Kate runs May 8 - May 31 at Playhouse on the Square and is sponsored Gene & Carol Katz, Friends of CrimeStoppers, and Happy Jones and Fred Terry. The Pay What You Can performance is Thursday, May 14th and is sponsored by ArtsZone/AutoZone and Southland Park Gaming and Racing. Playhouse on the Square is located at 66 S. Cooper St. For more information or to make reservations, please call 901-726-4656 or visit playhouseonthesquare.org.
