Playhouse on the Square Presents 'Curtain Up: Playhouse Loves Memphis' Today

Playhouse on the Square's annual Curtain Up fundraiser will be held tonight, November 7th from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM. This year's theme is all things Memphis. Playhouse has called Memphis home for the last 45 years, and this year Curtain Up celebrates everything that our city has to offer. Enjoy games, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and live entertainment all night in six different rooms throughout our whole building:
The Rooftop, weather permitting, offers spectacular views of the city, a bonfire, and drinks all set to the background of Memphis music. Travel underneath the stage to the Trap Room speakeasy to play poker and other street games while taking in the sounds of Papa Top's West Coast Turnaround featuring Memphis Flyer writer Chris Davis. Relax in our comfortable Event Room with the vintage and soulful sounds of the Side Street Steppers. The Café is the place to get lost in crisp and cozy autumn. Enjoy local cuisine and music by, Brennan Villines and the Cooper Union (made up of Playhouse Favorites Carla McDonald, Claire Kolhiem, and Sheila Jay) from 7 - 8, special guest appearances by some Playhouse on the Square actors and Singers from 8:15 - 8:45, and Alexis Grace and Thomas Bergstig from 9 - 10. End the night with a concert by The Bouffants on the Playhouse main stage. Enjoy these crowd pleasing favorites from your seat or get up on stage and dance with the lovely Bouffants.
