Playhouse on the Square Opens ANNIE, 11/16

By:

"Annie" is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Roosevelt, and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

Annie is directed by Dave Landis. Danielle Chaum returns to share the title role with Megan Cheng, who is making her Playhouse debut. Resident Company Members Carla McDonald and Irene Crist reprise the role of Miss Hannigan. Company Member Claire Kolheim and Associate Company Members Colin Morgan and Emily Draffen are also featured. Guest artist Bryan Robinson (Associate Company 2009-2010: Oliver!, Narnia) is featured as "Daddy Warbucks."

Annie runs November 16 – December 30 at Playhouse on the Square. Special holiday schedule applies: Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm. Sunday, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 at 2pm.
