Lightwire Theater Brings THE UGLY DUCKLING to the Orpheum 2/24

Lightwire Theater presents an electrifying version of Hans Christian Anderson's timeless tale The Ugly Duckling at the Orpheum Theatre on Friday, February 24th at 6:30 PM. Arrive early to meet Memphis' favorite ducks from The Peabody Hotel and participate in a show-themed craft. Doors open at 5:30 PM.

Lightwire Theater brings a classic tale to the Modern Stage in an unforgettable theatrical experience. Lined with electroluminescent wire, the beloved story of The Ugly Duckling plays out on stage through a cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology and dance. With dazzling visuals, poignant choreography and the creative use of music ranging from classical to pop, this production brings this story into a new and brilliant light.The Ugly Duckling is recommended for all ages.

The Peabody Hotel's most famous residents will make a special appearance at the Orpheum Theatre immediately following their regularly scheduled Duck March at 5 PM. Patrons will have the opportunity to take photos of the Peabody ducks and meet the newest Duckmaster, Jimmy Ogle, in the lobby before show time at 6:30 PM.

Ticket prices are $15 or $20 for premium seating. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase online at the official Orpheum Theatre Group website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, the Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), and Ticketmaster (901.743.ARTS). Special group rates are also available by calling 901.529.4226. Broadway season ticket holders save on each Family Series ticket. Please call or visit the box office for more information.

This event will take place at the historic Orpheum Theatre located at 203 South Main Street.
