On Saturday, November 19th The Orpheum Theatre's 2011-2012 Family Series kicks off with John Tartaglia's live, glow-in-the-dark musical adventure ImaginOcean. Presented by Jellyfish Jive Productions, this family favorite will play The Orpheum stage for two performances only at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
John Tartaglia's one-of-a-kind black-light puppet show ImaginOcean follows colorful sea creatures Dorsel, Tank and Bubbles on an unforgettable underwater adventure. Backed by a score of swing, R&B and big band music, and armed with a treasure map and adventurous spirit, these pals set off on a journey to find buried treasure - and wind up finding much more along the way.ImaginOcean creator, writer, and producer John Tartaglia is a Tony Award-nominee and has starred in the critically acclaimed musical Avenue Q. Tartaglia has appeared on Broadway in Shrek, The Musical and in Disney's Beauty and the Beast and was a creator and star in The Playhouse Disney series Johnny and the Sprites.As part of The Orpheum's 2011-2012 Family Series, ImaginOcean is one of six productions gracing the lineup this season.
