Hackmatack Playhouse Opens Season With CINDERELLA 6/24-7/10

Add make-up, costumes, music, scenery, and an audience, and Hackmatack Playhouse opens for the season Thursday night, June 24 with the enchanting fairy tale, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. The charm, humor, warmth, and wonderful music of Cinderella runs June 24 through July 10.

When Cinderella's cruel stepmother prevents her from attending the Royal Ball, she gets some unexpected help from the lovable mice Gus and Jaq, and from her Fairy Godmother. Hackmatack Playhouse Artistic Director and Cinderella Director Sharon Hilton said, "Regular ‘Hackmatackers' will be familiar with many of the cast members. It is a fun opening show!"

In concession stand news, regarding the FREE popcorn, Producer Michael Guptill announced that anyone attending a Cinderella show dressed as Cinderella, will get free popcorn.

Following Cinderella, Leading Ladies runs July 14 through July 24, Carousel takes to the stage July 28 through August 14, and August 18 through the 28th, it's the delightful musical comedy, Hello, Dolly.

Show times are Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm with a Thursday matinee at 2:00 pm. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office, (207) 698-1807 or online at www.Hackmatack.org.
