The Kentucky Center presents A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at The Brown Theatre (315 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY).

"A Night with Janis Joplin" pays tribute to the legendary Janis Joplin, a comet that burned far too brightly to last. Emerging in the late 1960s, Joplin, almost overnight, became the Queen of Rock and Roll.

Fueled by such unforgettable songs as "Me and Bobby McGee," "Piece of My Heart," "Mercedes Benz," "Cry Baby" and "Summertime," the show, written and directed by RAndy Johnson, is a musical journey celebrating Joplin and her biggest musical influences.

Icons like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone and Bessie Smith will all be celebrated in the show, to honor the impact they had on Joplin, one of rock and roll's greatest legends.
