Duck Hunter Bags Two League of Cincinnati Theater Nominations

The League of Cincinnati Theater (LCT) Award nominations are in, and Duck Hunter Shoots Angel has been nominated for two awards: Ted Weil's direction and group performance by Matt Dentino and David Bogenschutz as hapless duck hunters Duane and Duwell.

Panelists praised Ted Weil's "seamless direction": "He directed this play fluidly and the pace was sharp." Matt Dentino and David Bogenschutz, as the brothers Duane and Dewell, had a "pitch perfect" performance. "They played off each other very well and their performances felt authentic." Overall, the show was "laugh out loud funny, wacky with some nice twists and touching revelations in the end...understated and effortless."

Performances are at 8 PM on May 31, June 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at Monmouth Theater in Newport, Kentucky.
