Derby Dinner Playhouse will open the musical SLEEPING BEAUTY on May 15 as part of their Children's Musical Theatre Series. Public performances run May 16, 23, 30, June 1, 6, 13, 2015. For ticket information please call 812-288-8281 or visit www.derbydinner.com.

We all know the story with a spinning wheel, an evil curse and true love's kiss. This musical adaptation of the story of Sleeping Beauty has all three and more! The King and Queen are preparing to christen their baby daughter, Beauty, with the help of the Fairy Queen Crystalline. Worried about the trouble he may cause, they do not invite Cryzon the Evil Fairy. To get revenge, Cryzon places a curse on the child. Will Prince Charming kiss her in time? This classic tale is sure to enchant!

SLEEPING BEAUTY was written for the Derby Dinner stage by Greylyn Gregory with Music by John Spencer. Songs featured in SLEEPING BEAUTY are "What's In A Name", "Such A Night", "We Were Meant To Be", and more! Derby Dinner's production of SLEEPING BEAUTY is under the direction of Kevin Crain. The cast will include Sally Scott, Sandra Rivera, Annette McCulloch, Chris Bryant, Bill Hanna, and Lem Jackson.

All public performances of SLEEPING BEAUTY are on Saturdays with Breakfast at 9:00am and Lunch at 12pm. An evening performance has been added on Monday-June 1, 2015. All performances feature a kid friendly menu. This production is most suitable for ages 3-12.

School performances of SLEEPING BEAUTY are scheduled for May 21, 22, 28, 29, June 1, 2, 4, 5, 12, 2015. Lesson Plans that meet Kentucky and Indiana academic goals are made available to enhance educational opportunities.
