Artsreach And Rheonna Nicole present the Lipstick Wars Poetry Slam on Saturday, October 21 at 7 p.m. at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts - Bomhard Theater (501 W. Main Street, Louisville, KY).

Are you ready to slam like you mean it? Rheonna Nicole and The Kentucky Center's ArtsReach program present the third annual all-female poetry competition. Poets will come together for one night to epically recite poems about the empowerment and motivational uprising of women.

This "Lipstick War" will feature female competitors aged 15 and up. Featured poets will include Chinnel, A Slate, Gwen, Gina, Ty Brown, Alisha, Mizz Quoted, Tasha, MS. Oliver, Breanna, Cocoa Flo, Tessa Lark, Lexie, Emcee and Ashlee Haze. First, second and third place winners will receive cash awards.

Nipsey Green & Brandon "B Shatter" Harrison will host Lipstick Wars. Saulette Davis will D.J. and the event will feature Belize Dance Intermix's "Four Women," choreographed by Dixie Cacho Burns.

The Kentucky Center's ArtsReach program nurtures and develops diverse artists and audiences, engages youth, creates a sense of community through the arts and, through professional development, empowers community centers to program the arts.
