The original Japanese stage production of Studio Ghibli's Oscar-winning animated film Spirited Away returns to the London Coliseum, where it had its European premiere in 2024, playing to sold-out audiences of over 300,000 people across 17 weeks. The production won Best New Play at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards and received four Olivier Award nominations. Adapted by John Caird and co-adapted by Maoko Imai, it is presented in the original Japanese with English captions, with a live orchestra performing Joe Hisaishi's score, set design by Jon Bausor, puppetry by Toby Olié, and costumes by Sachiko Nakahara.
