Ragtime at Jewish Women's Repertory Company

The Jewish Women's Repertory Company (jwrcla.org) is casting a fully-staged, all female version of the 1998 musical Ragtime.

The company is women-only. All of our cast and crew are female, and we perform for all-female audiences. Women play all of the roles, both male and female.

We are seeking African-American women with acting, singing, and dancing abilities for the lead, supporting, and ensemble roles in "Ragtime." All actresses should expect to be vital contributors in an ensemble. We welcome women of all backgrounds, ethnicities, body types, or religions.

Auditions are Wednesday, June 4th and Thursday, June 5th.

Rehearsals begin July 31 and are Mon. and Wed. nights (8-10 p.m.) in Los Angeles near La Cienega and Olympic Blvd. Note: Production take a break in September/October for the Jewish High Holidays. Production add Thu. night rehearsals during the month of November; tech Nov. 30-Dec. 3; runs Dec. 4, 6, 7.

This is unpaid community theater. Auditions are Open Call.
