Pericles at Boston Court Pasadena

Ellen McLaughlin's modern verse translation of Shakespeare's Pericles receives its West Coast premiere, directed by Margaret Shigeko Starbuck, in partnership with Play On Shakespeare. Set in a disaster relief area during a storm, a group of displaced strangers come together to tell the story of Pericles, a young prince forced into exile after uncovering a deadly royal secret, whose sweeping journey across oceans and kingdoms is marked by storms, shipwrecks, separation, and reunion. The production embraces movement and music to amplify the story's themes of displacement, resilience, and the search for home. The cast includes Randolph Thompson, Miguel Perez, Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson, Nicole Javier, Julanne Chidi Hill, Desiree Mee Jung, Adam J. Smith, Alexander Matos, Jamie Gallo, and Rio Rasch.
