Launching their 2025 Season, Ophelia’s Jump is proud to present Helvetica by Katie Coleman and directed by Elina de Santos. Presented February 26 through March 18, 2025, Helvetica will be performed at Ophelia’s Jump, located at 2009 Porterfield Way, Suite I, in Upland.

Called a beautiful play about the stories we tell as well as leave behind, Helvetica "is a play about big things, like imagination, memory, and death, with a heroine named for a type font, a cardboard boat in which to go adventuring, and a stuffed bear to act as narrator and muse (Donald E. Baker).

THE STORY: Helvetica Burke: adventurer, writer, and cynic, has spent her life packaging Death neatly between the lines of her beloved children's books, with her trusty stuffed bear Myron by her side. When she encounters Death head-on however, she finds the storybook truths within the realities of her past, present, and future.

Featuring (in alphabetical order): Kelly Franett (Myron), Mikki Hernandez (Helvetica Present), Tony Kim (Father), Olga Konstantulakis (Mother/Illustrator/Shelter Worker), Peter Mendoza (Husband/Agent), Lisa Robbins (Helvetica Future), Raven Scott (Helvetica Past)

Ticket Information: $47 general admission, High School & College Students 25% off, College Student Rush-- 50% discount at the box office starting 15 minutes to curtain; Kids (13 and under) $38.
