L.A. Theatre Works presents the world premiere of Exodus: The Shanghai Jews, an original, commissioned audio docudrama by Kate McAll.
L.A. Theatre Works, the world's leading producer of audio theater, is best known for its unique catalog of nearly 600 plays. Another key component of the company's mission is to produce science-themed plays, recorded with funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which are made available to schools, libraries and the general public as part of LATW's “Relativity Series.” The latest addition to that collection, Franklinland, written by Lloyd Suh and starring Gregory Harrison and Larry Powell, is set for release on Thursday, Dec. 16.
The Echo Theater Company's world premiere production of Poor Clare will open in October, 19 months after the originally scheduled March, 2020 opening that was shuttered by the pandemic. Echo associate artistic director Alana Dietze (Dry Land, The Wolves) is back at the helm of Chiara Atik's powerful and very funny modern spin on the medieval story of Saint Clare of Assisi.

L.A. Theatre Works is releasing a state-of-the-art audio theater recording of Bump, a new comedy by Chiara Atik. Based on the true story of Jorge Odón and the birthing device he invented in his garage, Atik's play spans time and space in an effort to grapple with the mystery and miracle of maternity.
L.A. Theatre Works has announced a 2020-21 Digital Season of nine plays. All plays in the 2020-21 season are being recorded in-studio, using state-of-the-art technology. L.A. Theatre Works is the world's leading producer of audio theater. Each of the recordings will include bonus features, such as interviews with the playwrights and more.
