A Feast of Ten New Plays in Two Programs from Top Playwrights

Newly produced works written by some of L.A.’s top playwrights, will be presented this spring throughout May and June. A month of alternating Programs A and B, which includes one-act treasures never previously produced, can be seen through June 10th. Located in the Atwater Village Theatre complex at 3269 Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles, Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA is curating this inspiring variety of plays staged by award winning producers, directors and actors. Playwrights include Astor Bonder, Elin Hampton, Troy Loftin, Tom Lazarus, Mildred Inez Lewis, Gabriela Ortega, Stacy Ossei-Kuffour, Karen Rizzo, Stevie Stern, and Keith Szarabajka.
“Celebrating new ideas, we offer our annual event, with EST/LA company members and our community of theatre artists. We are dedicated to developing and producing new work and this environment encourages the initiation, exercise, and practice of artistic imagination," says producer Liz Ross.

EST/LA Playwrights Unit nurtures the development of new plays by theater professionals and is a gateway to other development programs at EST/LA. Current member playwrights are NYFA, NEA, Guggenheim, Obie, Emmy and Writers Guild Award winners.
